My strong baby!
Hello baby, moma is here again! You have been such a sport all this while. I went through cervical cerclage and you didn’t complain a bit dear. It was for your well being only so that i can hold you in my womb full term. I know you will soon face a scape crunch as you are growing rapidly but isn’t is cosy in there…
Your kicks have definitely become stronger and more frequent now as we have crossed the 20 week halfway milestone. Hurray!!! Now the back counting has started. Today you are 20 weeks 6 days old my munchkin. Moma is on bed rest till sunday and then lets see if we can move around a little. Doc says that for most women mobility increases after cerclage. Let’s pray for the best. I have so much shopping to do for you. I keep on surfing the Net for the things i would get for you. You know i have already shopped for some clothes for you - one baby suit, one bib, one pillow, one top and leggies and nappies too! But this is not enough, Just a start! We have to purchase your crib, changing table, bedding sets, toiletries, feeding bottles, stroller, car seat and so on. Your dad is also very excited about all this. Wait till i get on my feet again my dear! ![]()

My first Pics!
Hello world! I am quite grown up now. Nineteen weeks so to say. So my moma thought of introducing me to all of you. She had a 3D scan and here are some of my pics. Though i tried a lot to maintain the ‘do not disturb’ pose, but the doc managed to take some videos of me. My mom has extracted some pics for all of you to see. - Charu and Harsha’s baby.

Ohh sooo cute!!!
Hello sweetie pie!! Mommy is back to the blog. We got to spend a lot of time with you today and both me and your dad are overwhelmed. It was a 3 D anomaly scan in a different clinic. But it was worth it, i must say! Every minute of it. We had to wait for more than an hour for our turn but nonetheless we were not complaining. Your father joined me because the appointment was at 9.30 am in the morning and after the scan he planned to leave for his office which was nearby. I had enough breakfast because i thought beforehand that the whole process might take time and you might start feeling hungry and get angry with me. J Drank lots of water also so that your pics are clearly visible.
Okay, so we entered the sonography room and there was an assistant doctor who did the regular 2D scan. Everything appeared normal. I asked her about the placenta and what she told us enlightened both of us. She informed us that the placenta has moved almost 4.5 cms away from the cervix and that is a major achievement baby! We were so happy. She was taking measurements of your head, tummy, feet, leg and hand bones, spine and so on. It was quite interesting to watch.
After the 2D scan got over she informed us that the 3D scan will be done by senior doctor. So we waited a couple of minutes and then began the scan which i can never forget throughout my life! Initially dear baby, you were not at all cooperative. You covered your face with your hand as if to warn us “Do not disturb me guys…” but later you started moving and kicking me. J We saw your feet , hands, fingers, tummy and face. It was awesome. You were gulping the amniotic fluid and once you stroked your eye too!! Your nose seemed like your father’s and even your mouth. The lips were not as big as mine. We are guessing you are a girl but we dont know until you are born! Your weight is 250grams and your height is 10 inches now. Everything is normal. The best part of this ultrasound is that the 3D videos were recorded on a DVD for us. I am on cloud nine because now i can watch you whenever i want on my notebook. Oh yes, i forgot to tell you that your dad has gifted me a tablet PC. I am wondering that when you start writing you it will be your first slate as ot has a pen and slate option too!!
I will soon post your ultrasound pics. This blog is just for your reference when you grow up. We love you baby!!!

Week 18
You have turned eighteen weeks today baby! It’s an awesome feeling for me. My tummy is bulging now. And for past some days you have started moving frantically inside me. It seems like yesterday that I felt your first kick, but now I can feel you more often. When ever I have a meal or am hungry, you start rolling inside me. But you move most when I am of to bed to sleep at night. It is almost half an hour that your gymnastics last and then only I can sleep. I look forward to it everyday now. Though sometimes I want to sleep after being exhausted the whole day but you won’t let me.

The placenta moves up!!
Hey baby,
You are going to be seventeen weeks in a couple of days. And I am on the top of the world. I had an ultrasound yesterday after almost five weeks and the placenta has moved up considerably. So I am off complete bed rest now though the doc had asked me to be still careful and take precautions.

Did u kick me dear…
Yes, it was yesterday that i felt the first baby kick probably! Yippeee!!! I am so excited. I have read that kick might usually feel like butterflies or fluttering of gas in the stomach but i suppose to each her own. I felt that someone knocked my tummy from inside. It was 11.30 in the morning and i was trying to take a short nap when i felt the kick. For a moment i was surprised and then i realized it can’t be anything else. Just waiting for the days when i will experience regular kicks so that i can be satisfied that you are doing well inside me.
Also eagerly waiting for my next ultrasound on which a lot depends. It will determine whether my placenta has moved up or not. Only if it has i will be able to move around more freely. I am keeping my fingers crossed!
These days i think my little one is a little more hungry than usual as i immediately feel nausea and headache if i do not eat small meals regularly. Grow baby grow! Wanted to post my belly shot too but it has not been taken. So waiting for the next milestone. Love you baby!

Week 14
The bed rest continues maybe for another two weeks. The headaches are too much to bear now with the restriction on medicines. Baby, u are doing fine, i know. It’s only my state of health which is worrying and putting me into depression sometimes. I have been leading a pretty hectic life and since last three months everything has come to a halt. I am dreaming of the day when i am out of the bed performing my daily activities with ease. I sincerely wish that my marginal placenta previa is corrected on its own and i do not have to take as many precaution as i am taking now. Looking forward to the next ultrasound when i will get to know this. This u/s would be in early October. So i have to patiently wait till then. I am happy that the spotting has subsided now. It was terrible to see the spots. Next time i will also ask the doc about the baby’s heartbeat. According to old wives tale, if the heartbeat is high (160 - 180) then it is a girl, and if it is low (140 - 160) it is usually a boy.
Mine was measured 165 in the early ultrasound and in the last one it was 139bpm.
